Efficient polymerization and crystallization kinetics coupling of polyamide 6 synthesis for liquid composite molding process modeling

Variabilities in polyamide 6 (PA6) composite manufacturing by liquid processes can occur due to polymerization, crystallization, and flow through a fibrous preform. Numerical simulations of the process predicting kinetics facilitate optimization. This study proposes an efficient modeling approach that be integrated current simulation discretization methods such as finite volume method (FVM) while considering interaction between PA6 polymerization crystallization. Using crystallization models issued from literature, previous determined Hillier coupling able predict kinetics. A simpler more will introduced adapted account for variability. It was into FVM framework injection showcasing capabilities model potential discrepancies.
